  • THULIR 2018 – A Science Exhibition with the theme “Smarter Kovai (Smart City)” was hosted by SNS College of Engineering on February, 01, 2018.
  • 17 schools and 176 exhibits (349 Participants), comprising of innovative working models and investigation based projects.
  • Along with them 200 Visitors from various schools graced the exhibition.
  • The programme was inaugurated by R.Hariharan, Advisor- Policy & Academic Planning Bureau, AICTE, New Delhi. & Mr.Sujit Kumar, IPS Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic – Coimbatore City in the presence of Dr. S.Nalin Vimal kumar, Technical Director, SNS Institutions. 
  • The exhibits by the different schools  were indeed eye openers on various topics related to Green Energy, Innovation in Transport , Communication, Agriculture, Technology, Bio- diversity, Community Health , Environment & Mathematical Modeling, based on the themes given for exhibition.
  • In the Valedictory Function at the evening, the eminent judges comprising of Dr. David, Prof, Civil Engineering, Mr. Sathish Kumar, AP/Mechanical, Ms.Sathya, AP/ECE, Mr. Arun Kumar, AP/Bio-Medical, SNSCT, gave their judgement after inspecting each project on  The best 03 models for each themes were selected. (Theme-1: Innovative engineering ideas, Theme -2: Environmental issues and waste management, Theme -3: Alternative energy , Theme -4: Communication technology, Theme -5: Mathematical modeling,  Theme -6: Landmarks in Physics and Chemistry , Theme -7: Life science in human welfare).
  • All the participants were presented with certificates and momentos. Dr.N.Suresh Kumar, Principal of SNS College of Engineering and V.P. Arunachalam, Director, SNS Institutions along with Dr.G.K.D.Prasanna venkatesan, Dean (R&D) &HOD (S&H) appreciated and distributed the prizes to the winners for novel projects..
  • Over all Trophy was bagged by TKS Matric Hr. Sec.School based on the number of models, students interaction and presentation of innovative ideas.
